CCA, Manila has an Advisory Board. The role of the board is to assist the school in assuring that its programs respond to the needs of industry, and continue to meet the highest standards. It meets on a regular basis with a minimum of two meetings each year to advise the program and make recommendations as needed. Eleven to Fifteen members comprise the advisory board. The members are reputable experts from various sectors including the food and hospitality industry (institutional food service, restaurants, clubs, hotels, allied food service businesses, and education) and current students and recent graduates of the program. The Chancellor of Education serves as the chairperson of the advisory board and is charged with convening the group for meetings and assemblies. An autonomous chairperson is elected by the board and is tasked to preside over all regular meetings of the group. The Registrar serves as the secretariat of the board. The heterogeneity of the group is an important facet of the membership as it creates a balance of advice made available for a range of programmatic concerns. Only those who can potentially contribute to the achievement of CCA, Manila’s goals shall be invited by the school president to be members of the board. A member has a term of two years.
