Bachelor of Science Culinary Management

1. Dra. Veritas Luna

An excellent holder of degrees in B.S HRA, B.S. in Community Nutrition, MS Nutrition, and PhD Nutrition from the University of the Philippines, Dra. Veritas Luna has been serving wholeheartedly in the industry of education for 10 years as an academic administrator and supplementing the minds of different generations for 32 years in tertiary education and graduate levels as an educator. She is also a PRC Registered Nutritionist-Dietitian and has certifications in TESDA NC II Baking Production, TESDA NC II and IV Commercial Cooking. She has taught and handled Introduction to Culinary Management and Research in Culinary Management in CCA, Manila. To date, Dra. Luna is the passionate Chancellor for Education of the Center for Culinary Arts and the Asian School of Hospitality Arts, the culinary arm and hospitality arm of The Cravings Group of Companies.

2. Dean Angelina Blanco

Bearing the degrees of MBA, and B.S in Community Nutrition from the University of the Philippines, Diliman and with 35 years worth of industry and teaching experience, Asian School of Hospitality Arts’ Dean Angelina Blanco competently spearheads the Principles of Tourism 1 and 2 in the Center for Culinary Arts.

3. Prof. Luz Callanta

Having 30 years of teaching experience, Prof. Luz Callanta not only teaches from the mind, but also knows the subject matters by heart. Equipped with Masters in Nutrition from the University of the Philippines and certification from the William Angliss Barista Training & Training and Assessor Skills, Prof. Callanta handles CCA’s Nutrition and Principles of Cooking, Nutrition and Wellness in Culinary Management, and Communication Arts 3.

4. Prof. Jette Naval

Before joining CCA to teach and inspire aspiring culinarians, Prof. Naval was herself an outstanding student. She graduated from St. Paul University with a degree in B.S Psychology and finished her Masters’ in Counseling Psychology as Roosevelt College’s Magna Cum Laude. Moreover, she is a Certified Guidance Counselor and Professional Teacher. Having these to her name, CCA has entrusted unto her capable hands the courses Laws, Values, and Ethics in Culinary Management, and General Psychology.

5. Ms. Roxanne Timbol

Intelligence and passion rolled into one, Ms. Roxanne Timbol graduated Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines, Los Banos with a degree in B.S. Food Technology and an MS in Food Science. One of CCA’s most devoted staff, she teaches FSS Lec and Lab, Chemistry Lec and Lab, Sustainable Culinary Management, Food Technology in Culinary Management.

6. Jose Antonio Magtibay

Wise on wealth, Mr. Jose Antonio Magtibay is a 1981 Cum Laude graduate of De La Salle University with a Liberal Arts-Business Economics and BSC Management of Financial Institution degree. In 1986, he received his Management Masters in Business Management, AIM. After 30 years of industry experience, he now teaches Finance, Basic Economics, and Research in Culinary Management in CCA Manila.

7. Melissa Oreta-Sison

Backed by a number of notable attainments, Ms. Melissa Oreta-Sison greatly imparts her knowledge about the Trends and Issues in Culinary Management. She graduated from La Concordia, USA with a Liberal Arts degree, a diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Les Roches, Switzerland, and a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship. She has also received certificates of TESDA NC II and IV for Commercial Cooking, TESDA Certificate for Assessment Methodology and Teaching Methodology, and has undergone the ServeSafe Certification Course. Ms. Oreta-Sison is also an ACF Certified Executive Chef and an ACF Certified Culinary Administrator.

LECTURERS

1. Grace Pasion

Fully equipped with a BS degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Ms. Grace Pasion handles Business Math, Basic Statistics, Basic Computer Concepts, and Basic Accounting in CCA Manila.

2. Maria Sylvana Zapanta-Babate

A graduate of the University of the Philippines, Los Banos, Ms. Zapanta-Babate holds a degree in BS in Development Communication. She acquired her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Rizal System, and has gained a Professional Teaching Certificate in U.P. Diliman. With 8 fruitful years of teaching experience, she handles CCA’s courses on Communication Arts 1 to 3, and Introduction to Humanities.

3. Venus Barrientos

With an MS in Physical Education and a BSE Major in Physical Education from the Philippine Normal University, Ms. Venus Barrientos keeps our CCA students fit for the kitchen’s grind as she handles PE 1, 2, 3, and 4.

4. Mark Anthony Lopez

A graduate of BS Philosophy from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Mr. Mark Anthony Lopez gives CCA students a profound palate for life and culture as he teaches the courses Filipino 1 and 2; Philippine Government, History and Constitution; Rizal’s Life and Works; Cultural Anthropology; and the Philosophy of Man.

5. Chester Magsino

Having successfully taken his Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Santo Tomas, Bachelors of Law (42 units) in the Far Eastern University, Master’s in Business Administration (12 units) from the University of Santo Tomas, and another Master’s in International Hospitality Management (36 units+Thesis) from Lyceum of the Philippines University-Manila, Mr. Chester Magsino impressively teaches Marketing and the Principles of Tourism 1 in the Center for CulinaryArts.

6. Julieta Lourdes Indias

Ms. Julieta Lourdes Indias is an excellent graduate of BS HRA from the University of the Philippines in Diliman. She has taken her MBA in Ateneo de Manila University, and has finished her Doctor’s dissertation in Business Administration from the University of the City of Manila (Pamanatasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila). With a total of 35 years worth of industry and teaching experience, she teaches in CCA Manila with a fire for Facilities Design.
